Our predecessors had mythology to illustrate the origin of the constellations, and we now have cinematography to express our own beliefs. Interstellar
Often times sci-fi narrative has revolved around humankind’s lookout for a replacement planet. Still, very few were as expressive and based on theoretical physics as Christopher Nolan’s scientific melodrama.

Sunshine is chock-full of great ideas, complex protagonists, and a feeling of the ongoing threat that perfectly complements this narrative of extraterrestrial existence. It’s a stunning sci-fi odyssey, and while some may say that the final scene spirals out of control, this may be what the movie was actually about anyway.
Moon
Many science fiction films have extravagant settings, spectacular visual effects, and courageous protagonists. In contrast, others employ the genre to investigate the human psyche. Sam Bell is getting ready to depart the moon after three years as the lone operator of a helium-3 mining. He, on the other hand, is stuck in the wreckage of a crashed moon mining conveyor. Even the observer won’t distinguish what’s real and what’s not when he starts having delusions.
Hidden Figures
Once Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon, everybody knew where they had been. Few people will remember the revolutionary researchers, many of whom were women and people of color, who made that trip achievable during a period when racism and discrimination were still in practice. This film takes us inside the lives of folks who worked hard just to have their achievement taken away.
Apollo 13
While Interstellar takes its inspiration from hypothetical outer space physics, Apollo 13 didn’t need to make such breakthroughs. It has a real-world example in the form of NASA’s ill-fated third moon-shot voyage, which was terminated when an oxygen tank collapsed 2 days into the trip. All focus shifted to returning crew home safely as their life support systems went down.
WALL-E
Humanity has abandoned the planet Earth in the far future, leaving only garbage disposal machines to pick up their mess and restore the ecosystem. It’s plausible that it didn’t seem to work. There is just one robot remaining, and all he worries about is how lonely he is.

The Martian is hailed as one of the most influential space films ever filmed. Blending the broad concerns of space flight shown in Interstellar with the technical details of urgent problem fixing that motivated Apollo 13.
Based on the famous novel, The Martian is about humanity working together to save astronomer Mark Watney. The latter was left on Mars when the rest of his team made a sudden departure during a sand storm.
Guardians of the Galaxy
A motley crew of mobsters and criminals come together just to steal an all-powerful piece of rock. Along the journey, they are involved in all sorts of action-packed misadventures. Epic fights with catchy nostalgic soundtracks, which, as we all know, is an important criterion for a good movie.
